My Favorite Songs with Witchy Vibes

?>

What kind of music gives you witch vibes? Do you look for songs that are dark and dangerous? Songs that are light and ethereal? Songs with a supernatural vibe?

For me, it’s all the above. Last summer, I got on this kick of wanting to find every song that felt witchy to me. So, naturally, I started a playlist, and over the past 10 months, I’ve been adding and adding and adding to it.

To date, I have just over 100 songs and am always adding more to my playlist. It’s not carefully curated or meant to be listened to in any type of order. It’s just songs that have major witch vibes for me.

And lately, I’ve been listening to this kind of music more and more: while I’m working around the Spooky Little Apartment, while I’m writing blog posts, even while I’m at work.

Today, I’m sharing my massive playlist with you. Feel free to follow it on Spotify, swipe songs for your own playlists or even use it as a starting place for your own witchy playlist.

I love Donovan’s “Season of the Witch”, but the group of songs that probably put me in the witchy mood the most is the whole “Practical Magic” soundtrack. It just makes me think of the movie and I can’t help getting in the witchy mood. Still need to break in our home with Midnight Margaritas and “Coconut” by Harry Nilsson….

Tons of my favorites on this list and a lot I don’t know too. I would add Witching Hour by In This Moment, A Little Wicked by Valerie Broussard, Manson’s Cupid Carries A Gun and maybe his cover of Cry Little Sister. I feel like there are some Jack Off Jill songs that would be great. Also something like Myrkur and Darkher…so witchy. Whoever likes Chelsea Wolfe I’m sure likes them too.

I’ll confess, I love adding “Witch Hunt” by Jack Off Jill to playlists for its creepy factor…but I left it off since it has some choice words. Thank you for all these suggestions, Maya! I’m enjoying listening to them.

Hey, I’m a fellow spooky-loving Miranda too! I found this playlist on Pinterest cause I’m very poorly attempting to write a book about witches. I’ve been trying to put together a witchy playlist myself but was having trouble with it. I”m so glad I found this one. Thank you for making it. I really love it. 8]

Leonard Cohen has a few songs that have that vibe. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds definitely has a witchy vibe with Red Right Hand!

I hope it’s okay that I put a YouTube link to the song above. One of my must haves is Goodnight Moon by Shivaree.
