We’ve done a LOT of Halloween hunting this season, so today I’m sharing my fave finds! I started this series back in 2016 as a way to share items I was finding in big box stores. Not a lot of people were doing this back then, and it quickly became an annual fixture of the blog. Now there are SO many amazing Instagram accounts you can follow to keep tabs on what people are finding, so I decided to focus on small businesses instead.

This week’s Halloween hunting post is extra special because not only am I sharing some of my fave finds from a store I love…I’m also sharing a collab I did with them! EEK! I know! I’m super excited about it because I have been a fan of Ghost Girl Greetings for a few years. If you regularly read my fave product posts, you’ll recognize their iconic ghosts. Toni and Laurie have a ton of designs for Halloween and horror lovers alike. And every single one has the Spooky Little Halloween feel – a little spooky, a little haunted, and 100% adorable. They also have THE most adorable ghosts in a lot of their designs.

The Internet is a neverending treasure trove of Halloween treats and for that, I will be forever grateful. My latest favorite? Cat & Magpie, a spooky embroidery artist who was introduced to me by following the Darksome Art & Craft Market.

There are a LOT of Halloween-centric candle companies out there. Like…A. LOT. And I love many of them. But there is one, in particular, that charmed me earlier this year with their Valoween candle: Greywick Lane. The scent was light and lovely. The container was unique. And I fell in love…so they HAD to be included in this year’s Halloween hunting series!

Last year, a new Halloween and horror T-shirt company popped up that I fell in love with immediately. Toxic Coffin’s first few designs NAILED the things I loved about the Halloween season: that spooky/creepy feel from classic colors and seasonal icons. It was clear from their beginnings that Stephen and Lance were Halloween lovers just like me.

This Halloween, there will be cute! I have been a longtime fan of Caley Hicks’ brand, There Will Be Cute. In fact, I remember one of her designs being the first Halloween T-shirts I purchased from a small business way back in my first season writing Spooky Little Halloween.

I was introduced to Monster Posse in 2018 at my first Midsummer Scream. Shopping at that event will overwhelm your Halloween brain in the best way possible. Just when you think you’ve seen everything or it all starts to blur together, you stumble upon a business that takes Halloween to a whole other level.

When stores fill up with Halloween, it is magical. I want to spend every single day wandering the aisles, gathering up treasures and bringing them home to the Spooky Little Apartment.

Welcome back to another season of Halloween hunting, my spooky little friends! If you’re new, this is a series I started back in 2016 as a way to capture what I found in big box stores as decor arrived. SO many of us do that on Instagram these days, so in 2020 I decided to turn my focus to small businesses.
Every Friday now through the end of September I will share one small business that sells Halloween tricks and treats. I love doing this because not only is it a chance to highlight amazing online shops you might not know – it’s also a running list of places you can shop for Halloween all year.

Temperatures are going up. Pools are opening. Lemonade glasses are sweating. Tis the season for Halloween shopping! Most people look forward to summer for things like vacations, beach trips and cool cocktails. But not this ghoul. In the summer, you can find me lurking around the season aisles of every big box and craft store in the greater Houston area, anxiously awaiting the moment their shelves turn black and orange.
