Cemetery Run – A Workout Playlist

?>

One of the upsides of the pandemic is it's forced me to spend a lot of time in one of my favorite places: my local cemetery.

This post is part of my Cemetery Appreciation Month series.

Shortly after Halloween last year, I decided I needed to make a few permanent changes to my lifestyle. One of them was exercising more at all, so I decided to start walking in local cemeteries. Living in the heart of Houston, I’m lucky enough to have several historic ones nearby.

It has turned into my favorite part of the day. Even on weekend mornings, I find myself looking forward to getting dressed and heading to the cemetery for my walks.

And I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t curate a playlist for this specific space, right? I started by going through all the songs currently on my Witchy Vibes playlist (which just keeps growing…) and wound up with this playlist.

Cemetery Run is a collection of upbeat songs with a dark, spooky or occult feel that I think are perfect for a quick run through the cemetery. Listen below!

If Spotify is not your preferred method for streaming music, here is the complete playlist so you can create it yourself:

A workout playlist with a darker feel - the kind of songs you'd listen to while going for a run in your local cemetery.

What song would you listen to on a cemetery run?

Happy haunting,

Awesome playlist! You come up with some of the best and most enjoyable music selections I’ve ever encountered. Thank you for this latest gem! (I’d add Thriller to it personally, as that song never fails to pump up my energy.)

What a tremendous joy and inspiration it must be to have multiple cemeteries in your area to visit and not only savour for their own merits, but utilize for exercise purposes as well. Sounds like a serious win-win in my books.
