Halloween 2020 Home Tour: My Living Room

?>

That Halloween glow.

When I was figuring out how I wanted to decorate the Spooky Little Apartment this season, that was the phrase that popped into my head right away…and I think I captured it best this year in my living room.

The whole space had the hauntingly perfect light to it. I enjoyed spending a few evenings watching Halloween movies under that glow. (And, uh, one of the scariest things on TV in October too – the final presidential debate…)

Here’s how I decorated my living room for Halloween 2020.

Welcome!

I like changing up what my focal point is above my TV for Halloween each year. This year? Cards from past exchanges from all of you!

My spooky terrarium I started on Instagram Live with Your Best Halloween Ever – and yes, that IS a yoga skeleton. Thanks for asking. 😉

This guy was a little pricey…but is easily my favorite purchase I’ve made from At Home in years. I mean, look at that giant grin cast across the floor. So fun!

I want to sit here and read Halloween books all day.

It wasn’t terribly accessible, but my Halloween countdown calendar ended up on top of my bookshelf.

My witch hat I made for Halloweenie Roast 2015!

Thanks for taking a tour of my Halloween living room!

Happy haunting,

Hat doffingly fabulous job! You created such an inviting, fun, and thoroughly fa-boo-lous space. I love, and I mean absolutely love, the idea of devoting a large swath of a wall to displaying treasured cards that you’ve received over the years. That idea is going straight into the (mental) inspiration file. TYFS!

This looks magical. How is your whole room glowing purple? I feel like there are some craftily hidden purple or black light bulbs hidden somewhere that I can’t pick out. Surely that can’t ALL be coming from your multicolored luminaries… can it?
