My annual home tour almost didn't happen this year.
The back half of my October has been a little all over the place, and I was all set to bypass this tradition. After all, I don’t drastically change how I decorate year-to-year, so once you’ve seen one year…you’ve kind of seen them all.
But then I asked on Instagram if anyone still wanted to see them and, well…

Okay then. (That was 21 hours after I’d posted it, by the way.)
So here we go! The beginning of my Halloween 2020 home tour. This year, I had a hard time getting motivated and spent a lot of time in September trying to come up with an idea for how I wanted to decorate this year. Feeling uninspired, I asked myself what is the thing I love most when I look at other people’s Halloween decor photos.
My answer: that Halloween glow.
So that’s the thing I tried to capture this year. Admittedly, it doesn’t translate great in all of these photos, but in person…it is perfection.
My Halloween Bathroom

I call this my trick-or-treat bathroom. I started placing together signs and candy in apothecary jars, and the next thing I knew…the entire space felt like a candy wonderland. I was also excited to finally use those orange and purple ball lights – they’ve been in boxes for years without a home.

My Halloween Hall
The bat chandelier I made earlier this season is the star of the show in my hall. Originally, I was going to hang it above my TV as part of my feature wall in the living room. (What I did instead will be up on Sunday!) But while I was working on it, the thought popped into my head that it might be cool in my hall instead. Add some lights and spiderwebs, and I love how it turned out.

My Halloween Coffee Bar
Confession: I didn’t get the entire kitchen decorated like I have in the past. I just…ran out of time. But I did give my coffee bar the spooky treatment! Here’s what I came up with:

I love how your bathroom came together. Sweet treats in the place of self-care treats. :) It’s perfect! And the chandelier in the hallway was just the perfect show-stopper. Any visitors would automatically be drawn to it. :D

Hey Miranda, I absolutely love your hallway decorations!!! That ghostly lightbulb is to DIE for!

Thanks, Kristen! I love that one too.

I’m totally late to the party, but I have that same Lucky Raven Cafe sign! I thrifts it for like, $3 a few years ago. Dollar store and thrift I have to say are my two favorite places for Halloween goodies, there’s just something about stuff that’s not squeaky new I love.

I agree – there are some real gems to be found in dollar store decor.
