My 2020 Halloween Bucket List

?>

October is here! Can you feel it? The days are getting a little darker. The sun glows gold as it sets. The leaves are rustling in the wind.

This is my favorite time of year, and to honor it I usually put together a list of things I want to do throughout the month of October – a Halloween bucket list, if you will. The idea was inspired by The Spooky Vegan years ago, and it’s a tradition I’ve kept going:

Yup, I changed things up last year and gave YOU a bucket list of Halloween activities to enjoy through some of the blog posts I’ve written over the years. If you’re looking for ideas for your own list, start there!

And if you need a list template…I’ve got you covered too.

My 2020 Halloween Bucket List

I don’t have to tell you Halloween 2020 looks different, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a ton of fun. Here’s how I’m planning to celebrate the next 31 days:

What’s at the top of your 2020 Halloween bucket list?

Share it in the comments, and don’t forget you can download my blank list to create your own.

Happy haunting,

    Hi Melinda!

Thanks for your wonderful 31 days of Halloween and for all your excellent info on books, etc. Your web site is lots of fun!

My husband and I love to go to Disneyland during October, as they really do a great job with decorations and lots of Fall and Halloween goodies.

Unfortunately, due to COVID, as you’ve probably heard, Disneyland is not open right now and they’re laying people off. I’m praying that they’ll be able to open the park soon and get the cast members back to work asap! So I really appreciate your web site now more than ever! Keep up the excellent work!

I love Hallowe’en Party by Agatha Christie too! I’m looking forward to your posts everyday. Take care! Happy Halloween!

I’m so sorry, I meant Miranda, not Melinda. :-)

I enjoy many of these myself! Some favorites are going to local farms for hayrides and to get apples and pumpkins. Of course a good horror film paired up with some completely unhealthy Halloween treat is also tough to beat.

Thanks, Miranda, for these great ideas. This year I’m having a lot of fun putting together a Halloween scrapbook that includes Halloween cards, cut outs from Halloween catalogues glued to Halloween art paper, old calendar pages, Halloween poems and stories, recipes, etc. A fun project to do with kids, too, during COVID times that can keep you and them entertained for years to come.

I’m looking forward to making your Mom’s wonderful pumpkin bread! Also, thanks for the Dead Air link!

    Hi!
I was wondering who is going trick or treating this year!
Also, for people who don’t trick or treat anymore, what age did you stop and why?
    Thanks guys!

Lex, I think my brother and I were 13 when we stopped trick or treating, and then because the lady at the first door we knocked on scolded us for being too old. Though we saw it coming, we wanted to postpone the inevitable at least one more year, but instead ended up returning home and passing out candy ourselves.

Aww, I hate when people do that. I think you should let kids trick-or-treat for as long as they want…costumes ARE required, though. ;)
