Spooky Christmas Home Tour

?>

It's the final day of the 13 Days of Creepmas on Spooky Little Halloween, and we're going out with a bang.

December blog posts are part of the 13 Days of Creepmas

Each year I decorate my apartment for the Halloween season…and then I redecorate it after Thanksgiving for Spooky Christmas. I did this for the first time in 2017 and loved the results. It was the perfect way to make Christmas my own again. I didn’t do much decorating in 2018 since I was in the midst of a move (to the far, far away location of across the hall to the bigger apartment), so that meant I was extra excited to break out Spooky Christmas again this year.

Today I’ll give you a little tour. I stuck to my living room and, based on your feedback on Instagram, decided to leave my Beetlejuice tree in place. (At this point, it’s been up since mid-September and might just stay all year long because I’ve gotten so used to it!)

Here’s how I decorate for Spooky Christmas!

Make the Spellman's Yule wreath featured in episode 11 of "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" to hang on your door this holiday season and keep spirits away.

Of course, I welcome December guests with my Chilling Adventures of Sabrina-inspired Yule wreath. Want to make your own? Check out my DIY!

I mean…considering it’s a Halloween take on the holidays, I’d still say my living room looks pretty festive.

This skull is a piece of Halloween decor I keep out all year long, but I love adding a Santa hat for December. Check out the other Halloween decor I use all year long.

One of my besties gifted me the Scary Christmas pillow cover a few years ago, and I love using it on my couch during the holidays.

I love decorating with this silly tinsel garland, and one of the best places to grab it for cheap is dollar stores! (During Halloween season, of course.) See more of the items I keep an eye out for every year during the spooky season so I can repurpose them for Christmas.

The entrance to my office got a little tinsel facelift. (The office stays Halloween all year!)

Look at that – some presents from the Netherworld materialized under the Beetlejuice tree! I really am going to be sad to see this tree go in January. I love the green glow!

The green lights are especially gorgeous on the silver section of my ombre tree.

I also love this prelit wreath I decorated to pair with my tree. See the full post here.

Since I don’t have a fireplace, my TV tends to be the focal point of my room. I traded my usual artwork above the TV for my “have yourself a spooky little Christmas” print I made a few years ago, then decorated the rest of the space. (Note the pumpkins still hanging around from Halloween!)

Last year when I made this Halloween garland, this was what I had in mind for it! I love how it looks on my TV stand.

See more of my Spooky Christmas garland DIY here.

Over the years I’ve collected quite a few Halloween ornaments, and I love decorating with apothecary jars…so I loaded it up with some of my DIY candy corn ornaments and other colorful balls. (*Ahem* Kindly ignore the dust. I’m already collecting it for, uh, next Halloween – yeah, that’s it!)

Spooky Christmas isn’t complete without bats, right?

Or zombies!

And don’t forget nutcrackers. I could take or leave Christmas nutcrackers, but make them Halloween and I fall in love!

No skull is safe from the Santa hat treatment.

And that, my friends, brings an end to the 13 Days of Creepmas!

Just in case you missed a post, they’re all linked below. I wish you a wonderful holiday season full of frights and good fear.

What a nice apartment you have Miranda! Thats the one you recently moved into yes? I’d Loe to do an all Halloween yuletide decor but I think I”d have trouble getting my OH on board with it.

Merry Christmas and all the best for 2020! Don’t know about you but I”m looking forward to next Halloween!

Indeed, this is the place I moved into at the end of 2018 – same building and virtually the same apartment, just flipped and with an extra room. :)
