11 Halloween Ornaments to Hang on Your Tree

Decorating our family Christmas tree was always one of my favorite traditions.

Growing up, we’d trek out to a Christmas tree farm the day after Thanksgiving and tag a tree, then return two weeks later to cut it down, bring it home and decorate it for the holidays. Our trees always stayed up for New Year’s.

I liked it because while my brother and I would often get to help with decorating for holidays…I always knew our Christmas tree was something we did together. Justin and I would race to find the tallest tree at the farm. Once it was home, my dad would weave the sparkling lights in and out of the branches, and when it was time to decorate, my mom would unpack ornaments while the rest of us placed them on the tree.

Over the years, the tree farm closed, live trees because small and ridiculously expensive and I didn’t always make it home to help decorate. Our tradition changed…so decorating my own tree the way I want to decorate it – with Halloween ornaments – is one way I’ve tried to recapture and once again own this experience.

Right now, my Beetlejuice tree is standing proudly in my living room for the holidays, but I’m always on the lookout for new spooky ornaments. Here are 11 I’m loving this year.
