Halloween 2019 Home Tour: My Living Room

?>

It's that time of year again: Halloween home tour week!

All October posts are part of the Countdown to Halloween!

Since I started the blog in 2015, I’ve given a little tour of how I decorate for Halloween each October. Is it over the top? No. Is it #HalloweenHomeGoals? No. Do I keep it up all year? Aside from the newly instated Halloween office, no.

But it’s my style of Halloween and how a real girl decorates and lives in October.

This year, I’m jokingly calling my decor Halloween Lite because, well, if you’ve been around for a while things will probably look a little simple.

And the truth is, I didn’t organize my decor well before it all got piled into a storage unit. Once I got started decorating and realized I was missing things, I didn’t feel like digging them out.

Hey, I told you this is how a real girl decorates for Halloween, okay? 😂

Kicking things off today is my simple, yet spooky, Halloween living room! You’ve already seen my Beetlejuice tree, so here’s a peek at the rest of the space.

But first, a peek outside my front door. Sir Clayton has taken up permanent residence in this little alcove now that I’ve moved to the other side of the building.

Welcome to my Halloween wonderland!

My cozy couch with ALL my Halloween pillows…because I have a throw pillow problem.

I might not eat it, but I sure love decorating with candy corn for Halloween!

A quick shot of my Beetlejuice-inspired tree. See the full blog post on the tree here.

I love this little sitting area just inside my front door.

Bookshelf #1, loaded up with my favorite fiction and a few pops of the spooky stuff.

It me!

I didn’t pick up any of the neon lights at Target this year because I’m still obsessed with the three from last year. I love the glow they add to the room at night.

Bookshelves #2 and #3 with more books, TV shows and, of course, Halloween.

Pumpkins + music books = me in a nutshell. I love this vignette SO much!

I grabbed this giant jack-o-lantern at At Home this year, and I absolutely love it in my living room!

Still one of my favorite signs, handmade by the phenomenal Casey at Helmies.

The glowing skull is part of my year-round decor. See more about how I reuse Halloween decor all year.

The door to the Halloween office. Since it’s pretty much the same since this post, I decided not to include this space in my home tours this year. Plus, it’s already spooky enough!

Thanks for taking a tour of my Halloween living room!

Happy haunting,
