How to Make Cranberry Margaritas

?>

Margaritas are a year-round thing here in Texas, and that includes the fall!

Last year at Halloweenie Roast, I served up a trio of fall margaritas: apple cider, cranberry and yes…pumpkin spice.

The third one still needs some perfecting, but the first two are delicious and ready to share!

Today I’m showing you how I make my cranberry margarita (plus sharing my favorite cranberry juice to use for the recipe!).

Cranberry Margaritas

Prep Time 5 mins
Total Time 5 mins
Cuisine Halloween Cocktails
Servings 1 drink

Ingredients

  • 5 ounces cranberry juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce triple sec
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 lime sliced
  • handful fresh frozen cranberries

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients in cocktail shaker.
  • Add ice.
  • Seal cocktail shaker and shake well to combine.
  • Pour into glass.
  • Garnish with fresh frozen cranberries and lime slice. Enjoy!

Notes

Turn it into a brew! Add a 1-inch by 1-inch cube of dry ice to your drink. If serving to guests, be sure to let them know not to touch or consume dry ice.

I especially like using the 100% cranberry juice from Trader Joe’s because it’s so tart. (I like tart drinks, esp. tart margaritas.)

I also like freezing fresh cranberries to add to my drink to keep it cool.
