October will be here before you know it, so it's time to start thinking about the most important part of Halloween: your costume.

Okay, maybe it’s not the most important part…but costumes are definitely the most fun! Dressing up in a costume comes right after squishing pumpkin guts in my hands on my list of what’s most fun about celebrating October 31st.
I have several costumes up my sleeve this year that I can’t wait to share with you, but I know you guys are looking for ideas too. Now is the perfect time to be looking because there is still plenty of time to pull off even the most elaborate ideas.
Last year, I shared some of my favorite trendy costume ideas I was seeing on Pinterest and it was a huge hit! So I decided to do it again this year.
9 Trendy Halloween Costume Ideas from Pinterest

1. The Avengers
Okay, so I’m kicking this off with just an image and a meme at that. But I freaking LOVE this take on The Avengers! I love a clever take on a costume, and honestly? It doesn’t get much better than this.

2. Scoops Ahoy Employee from “Stranger Things”
I am officially, whole-heartedly obsessed with “Stranger Things” and have deemed it my new Harry Potter. In fact, I’m planning two costumes related to the series for my Halloween cruise this year…including a Scoops Ahoy uniform because PHOTO OPS.
Of course, you can grab one of these costumes from a number of stores this Halloween season (get the skirted Robin uniform or the standard Steve uniform), but I especially love the self-created uniform pictured above. See how to create your own.

3. Woody from “Toy Story”
I was 11 years old when the first “Toy Story” movie came out. It’s a beloved movie franchise I’ve grown up with, and with the latest installment coming out this summer…this Halloween is the perfect time to visit some of the classic characters, like Woody! This is an easy costume you could start by pulling a pair of jeans and a yellow shirt from your closet. Or you could go the extra mile, like @jameswerty.

4. Scar from “The Lion King”
Okay, this is the Miranda’s childhood nostalgia portion of the list. Everything I loved as a kid is new again this year (becauseHollywoodhasnonewideas), so why not do a killer makeup take on one of the characters from “The Lion King”?

5. The Genie from “Aladdin”
Okay, so this DIY costume isn’t meant to be the genie from “Aladdin”, but I loved the creativeness of the lamp and smoke cloud SO much I had to include it. Just add a bit of blue paint, and you’ll be transformed into everyone’s favorite comic release and voice of reason from this Disney classic.

6. Georgie from “It”
With “It” returning to theaters this fall, Georgie is a quick costume you could easily pull together from your closet or at a thrift store.

7. Scooby Doo
I saw quite a few “Scooby Doo” costumes at Midsummer Scream this year, and it had me wondering, Did I miss something? I think these characters are classic and beloved, so they resurface year after year.

8. Tethered from “Us”
I’m sure it won’t shock you that I haven’t seen “Us” given my penchant to steer clear of horror movies. But so many of you guys and my friends have raved about it that when I ran across this costume, I knew I had to include it. So simple, striking and – I’m assuming – terrifying if you’ve seen the movie.

9. The Weird Sisters from “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”
My OTHER favorite Netflix series! (No, really.) I can hardly believe I’ve already gotten TWO installments of this show since last Halloween, and since I have the perfect dress in my closet I’ve been dying to turn myself into a Weird Sister. Yet another look super easy to pull out of your closet. Just add a lace collar, and you’re all set!

I love how creative these outfits are! They are amazing! I bet a lot of them took time to really try to figure out how to get them to mesh well.

I love the creativity too.

Hi!
So my two besties at work and I are going to go as The Weird Sisters!!!
What type of dress would you recommend and how hard was the lace to sew on it? The ones I’m finding on Amazon are more Wednesday Addams not so much Weird Sisters.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Miranda | Spooky Little Halloween
How fun, Amanda! I actually just did a Sabrina costume like this. For it, I wore a dress I bought at Old Navy (this one is similar) and pinned on the lace collar since I wear the dress regularly in the winter. :) The dress I linked comes in a few colors so you guys can mix it up. Hope that helps!
