I do a lot of Halloween window shopping online throughout the year.

Mostly because I’m always hunting for cool and unique Halloween products to share with you guys…but also because seeing cool Halloween-inspired items is my happy place.
So stepping onto the show floor at Midsummer Scream is like a freaking dream. There are SO many creators I follow on Instagram and LOVE who vend at the event, and after meeting all my spooky friends…shopping with all these Halloween creatives is one of my favorite parts of the weekend.
I didn’t do nearly as much shopping this year as I did in 2018, but I did pick up a few new tricks and treats for myself – more on those at the end of the post + where you can buy them too. For now, let’s do a little window shopping.
Midsummer Scream Vendors
Here are some of my favorite booths and items I saw at Midsummer Scream – vendor names and store links are included.

My ghoul Lindsay from Lively Ghosts was one of the first booths I stopped by…and my first purchase of the day. She makes THE cutest spooky enamel pins!
Like these pumpkin spice lattes – so adorable! You can grab one here.
Skelly Paper Co was another must-visit after spotting Jordan’s booth in 2018 and falling IN. LOVE. Her wrapping paper would be perfect for making your holiday season a little spooky. Shop online here!

I loved getting to see Sweet Midnight’s booth in person again…which was twice as big as last year! She sends the BEST emails if you don’t subscribe to them already. (Sign up is in the footer of her website.)
I’ve featured Sick Soaps a few times on the blog and LOVE Cheynne’s attention to detail. She was a delight to chat with as we perused her booth and learned more about her process.

How badass are those Sam wreaths? They were SO different from any Halloween-themed wreath I’ve seen, so I had to check them out close-up. The Crafter Squad had tons of cool spooky goodies – check out their Instagram for more.
I remember walking by the Chicken Lips booth last year and thinking…man, that one is really empty! And for good reason – David creates some stunning Halloween characters that are a unique must-have.
In fact, this year we visited him only two hours into Midsummer Scream, and most of his items were already sold. He adds new items on the 13th of every month to his Etsy shop, in addition to some standing items he carries all the time. Shop now!

It isn’t Midsummer Scream without Love, Pain and Stitches, right? Rumor had it the line was a two-hour wait (dedicated fans!), and there were some seriously killer designs on that rack.

Rhode Montijo was another must-stop for me. I LOVED his cardboard booth he debuted at ComicCon and was excited to see a bit of it in person. I also had to shake his hand and tell him how much I love my Halloween flag. (You can spy it in the background of the Halloween office here.)
His work is what Halloween looks like in my head.

The Mystic Museum, once again, had one of the best Halloween-themed booths. I loved poking through all their goodies! Their place is a must-visit if you’re in LA.

Samantha Borchard was one of the new-to-me shops I featured in my exclusive Midsummer Scream Halloween Zine. It was a thrill to meet her AND see her artwork in person. (And, uh, take a few things home…)

Killing Me Softly is always doing just that: killing me softly with her killer Halloween aesthetic. I love everything Andrea puts out and wish I was a millionaire so I could buy every last thing the moment she drops a new collection. Someday!
Until then, I love keeping up with her newest goodies over on her website, like that Truth or Scare collection.

Talk about a jaw drop. Gloomy Globes’ little cart was absolutely stunning and totally stood out in the crowd. I had NO feasible way to get one of these beauties back to Houston, but I promise they are even more gorgeous in person than they are in photos. Shop their Etsy store for more!
Halloween Haul: Midsummer Scream Edition
So what did I bring home? Not nearly as much as I expected – I was so busy going in 15 different directions the entire event, I never got a chance to circle back through the floor and do some serious shopping. But here’s what I did pick up:

So many tricks and treats!

I fell in LOVE with this Taurus print and Sabrina sticker from Samantha Borchard.
Lindsay at Lively Ghosts sucked me in with her 3 for $25 deal. I’ve been dying to get my hands on her Next Supreme pin since last fall. After Misty gifted me a Hopper in the pumpkin patch pin, I felt like it needed to be paired with the Winona Forever pin and the Haunted Mansion Pantone chip was too good to pass up.

Forever in love with Rhode Montijo, I couldn’t pass up a $10 print of the Jack O’ Lantern Jamboree for the Halloween office!

Katie and I both got a Best Witches pin from Killing Me Softly, and I grabbed this planchette patch for my backpack I travel with. It needs some spooky patches!

Chelsea kindly gifted me one of her gorgeous candy corn pins, which you can buy here. I wore it all weekend!

After Venus and I were done fangirling over the fact that we FINALLY met, she also gifted me her spooky summer planner stickers. I bought her spring ones and am OBSESSED! Grab your own pack here.

And finally, I got to meet the gorgeous ghoul behind Mumsterville, Alanna, who is ALL about ghouls supporting ghouls. I love that! So I grabbed a couple of Halloween hair clips and a bow. Before I chopped my hair, I’d taken to wearing a top knot and swiping my niece’s bows from time to time. Once my hair grows out a bit, I look forward to doing that again!

What’s your favorite pick in my Halloween haul?
I wish I could have had even more time to explore all 350+ shops that were at Midsummer Scream this year. It was unbelievable how many amazing creators had tricks and treats for sale. I’m already saving my pennies for shopping in 2020!
In case you missed it, check out my wrap-up post of the 2019 event here.
