15 DIYs to Make With Halloween Washi Tape

?>

It's time for a little brutal honesty, guys: I see that overflowing stash of Halloween washi tape you have squirreled away, and it's time to do something about it.

I see it because I have one too. Washi tape has long been one of those things I impulse buy. I love the prints. I love that I can use it as tape. I love the price at my favorite craft stores.

But my problem is I buy it…and then I don’t use it because it’s too pretty or I’ll be sad when it’s gone.

Can you relate? (I’m assuming you’re nodding right now…)

The whole point of craft supplies is to MAKE something from it, so today we’re going to do just that with these 15 DIYs you can make with Halloween washi tape.

15 DIYs to Make With Halloween Washi Tape

1. Halloween Washi Tape Wreath

This is such a simple DIY using just a paper plate and washi tape, that even the craft-challenged or youngest kiddos could make this. (I’m thinking my four-year-old niece would love it!) SEE THE DIY

2. Halloween Washi Tape and Paper Banner

We all know I love a good banner, and adding washi tape to a simple craft like this is perfect! The prints add a bit of pizzaz and texture to these paper cards. SEE THE DIY

3. Halloween Washi Tape Picture Frame

Grab a cheap picture frame from the dollar store – or even an old one that needs a makeover – and create your own patterned Halloween frame using spooky washi tapes. This is so clever – and perfect for showcasing Halloween costumes year after year! SEE THE DIY

4. Halloween Washi Tape Magnet Clips

Does your fridge need a little Halloween decor this year? Make these easy magnet clips using clothespins and a bit of washi tape. You can dress them up however you want with embellishments or keep them simple. SEE THE DIY

5. Halloween Washi Tape Pumpkin

Much like washi tape, I have a small stash of 3-4 craft pumpkins…and have yet to turn them into anything. I love this idea of jazzing them up with a little washi tape! SEE THE DIY

6. Halloween Washi Tape Candles

Dress up a jar candle using a bit of washi tape on the outside. This is great – and affordable – idea for Halloween parties. SEE THE DIY

7. Halloween Washi Tape Cupcake Toppers

There’s just something extra festive about a cupcake with a topper in it, isn’t there? I love these easy toppers made using Halloween straws and washi tape! SEE THE DIY

8. Washi Tape Spider Web

One thing I like about washi tape is it’s a little less sticky and a little easier to peel off surfaces, esp. walls. Add a little extra decor to your home by using black washi tape to create a spider web in the corner of a wall. SEE THE DIY

9. Trick or Treat Washi Tape Sign

This might be my favorite DIY of the post. Using a simple picture frame, you can cut out your own letters, wrap them in washi tape and create a bit of spook art for your walls this October! SEE THE DIY

10. Washi Tape Bat Art

Here’s another DIY piece of art that is super simple to make! I’ll let you click through to the DIY to discover the trick this blogger used to create the bat, but rest assured I’m already dreaming up different ideas for making my own! SEE THE DIY

11. Halloween Washi Tape Canning Lid Wreath

Looking for a DIY that’s a bit more rustic? This wreath using canning lids is a Pinterest classic and a great way to use up some of those extra lids you always seem to collect with mason jars, right? SEE THE DIY

12. Halloween Washi Tape Feathers

I included this DIY because it was such a unique use of washi tape – make your own feathers with just a bit of tape and floral wire. SEE THE DIY

13. Frankenstine Washi Tape Card

Back to a classic – making your own Halloween cards for all those exchanges I know you’ll want to join this year is a perfect use of washi tape. I esp. love this Frankenstein done in more traditional washi tape patterns and colors. SEE THE DIY

14. Halloween Party Favors

Want to give your party guests (young or old!) a little favor as they leave? Taping a goodie to a card with a bit of washi tape is cost-effective and adorable. SEE THE DIY

15. Halloween Washi Tape Candles

And finally, dress up simple taper candles with a bit of Halloween washi tape for extra elegance…and spookiness! SEE THE DIY

Which washi tape DIY will you make?

I hope these ideas have gotten your creativity flowing and you’re excited to use up your stash of Halloween washi tape! Because hey – once you make all these DIYs and use all your tape…it’ll be the perfect time to restock!

Keep it simple! Maybe add some Halloween throw pillows or blankets to the seats. Die cuts attached to the ceiling or even some small banners draped from there could be fun – just make sure you don’t obstruct your views!
