21 Shows to Watch if You Love Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

?>

So you've already finished part two of "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" - now what do you watch?

You’re in luck, my spooky little friend because today I have 21 more shows for you to check out that have a similar vibe to this Netflix hit.

I’ve always been drawn to TV shows with darker, spooky vibes from watching “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” as a young teen to obsessing over “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” last October. And once I get hooked on one, I always find myself wanting more.

(Binge TV culture was kind of made for me.)

I started making my own list of similar TV shows I already love or that have been hanging out in my Netflix queue, but then I thought…why not ask you guys too?

In today’s post, you’ll find eight TV shows handpicked by me that I think you’ll like if you’re a Sabrina fan. Then read on because my readers (um, YOU!) had a LOT to say about this topic too, and I’ve included # more shows directly from you guys!

Somewhere on this list, you’re sure to find your next spooky TV series to binge. (Or rebinge!)

21 Shows to Watch if You Love “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”

All places to watch are valid as of April 9, 2019.

Miranda’s Picks:

1. The Secret Circle

When 16-year-old Cassie Blake moves to Chance Harbor, Washington to live with her grandmother after her mother mysteriously dies, she discovers she’s a witch along with five other teens.

Why I like it: This is everything I wanted my teenage life to be: living in a gorgeous older house with a fireplace full of secrets in my bedroom. Discovering I’m a witch. Practicing magic with my circle. I only wish there had been more than one season.  (There is, however, a full book series I will someday get to!)

Watch it on: CW Seed

2. The Order

Out to avenge his mother’s death, a college student pledges to a secret order and lands in a war between werewolves and practitioners of dark magic.

Why I like it: This show is relatively new to Netflix and I’m only a few episodes in, but “The Order” captures that je ne sais quoi we all love about secret societies. I ride along with Jack imagining I’m joining The Order right along with him, and each turn gets more interesting and confusing.

Watch it on: Netflix

3. Riverdale

While navigating the troubled waters of romance, school and family, Archie and his gang become entangled in dark Riverdale mysteries.

Why I like it: Riverdale is a darker take the Archie Comics, and from the start you’re plunged into a murder mystery that defines the series. Now in season 3, that darkness has yet to let up or stop returning in new, mind-bending ways. Plus, Riverdale is just across Sweet Water River from Greendale, home to Sabrina and co., and both shows were developed by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. (Fingers crossed for a cross over someday!)

Watch it on: Past seasons on Netflix, current season on CW Seed

4. Supernatural

Two brothers follow their father’s footsteps as hunters, fighting evil supernatural beings of many kinds, including monsters, demons and gods that roam the earth.

Why I love it: I’m a bit behind on “Supernatural” these days, but those early seasons, especially season one, were rich with monster mythology that I loved. I’ll admit I get a little burnt out on the brother dynamics in later seasons, but this show has a cult following for a reason. (Also, can we talk about how Jared and Jensen are BABIES in this photo? Ohmygosh!)

Where to watch it: Past seasons on Netflix, current season on CW Seed

5. Charmed

Three sisters discover their destiny, to battle against the forces of evil using their witchcraft. They are the Charmed Ones.

Why I love it: Witch sisters FTW, always! Watching “Charmed” felt like a bit of “Practical Magic” brought to life for me each week back in the late 90s. I’m also always a sucker for witch stories where each one has a special power – something I’ve always wished I had.

Where to watch it: Netflix

It’s worth noting there’s an updated version of this show currently running on the CW. Check it out here.

6. Buffy the Vampire Slayer

A young woman, destined to slay vampires, demons and other infernal creatures deals with her life of fighting evil with the help of her friends.

Why I love it: Strong female lead kicking ass? Yes please! There were few shows like this on network TV back in the late 90s, and I was totally drawn to it. Plus the makeup work on this show is incredible – I love seeing each new creature Buffy runs across.

Where to watch it: Hulu

7. Hemlock Grove

Secrets are just part of daily life in the small Pennsylvania town of Hemlock Grove where the darkest evils hide in plain sight.

Why I want to watch it: This has been hanging out in my Netflix queue for a while because…who wouldn’t want to live in a small town with some spooky secrets?

Where to watch it: Netflix

8. Legacies

Hope Mikaelson, a tribrid daughter of a vampire/werewolf hybrid, makes her way in the world.

Why I want to watch it: Here’s one more of my to-watch list! I see ads for this show frequently while watching “Riverdale”, and the idea of a school where you learn how to hone your supernatural powers totally intrigues me.

Where to watch it: CW Seed

Where to watch it: Freeform, Hulu

17. Sleepy Hollow

Where to watch it: Amazon Prime

18. The Originals

Where to watch it: Amazon Prime, Netflix

19. True Blood

Where to watch it: Amazon Prime, Hulu

20. The Vampire Diaries

The lives, loves, dangers and disasters in the town, Mystic Falls, Virginia. Creatures of unspeakable horror lurk beneath this town as a teenage girl is suddenly torn between two vampire brothers.

Where to watch it: Netflix

19. Witches of East End

Centers on the adventures of a mother and her two adult daughters, both of whom unknowingly are their family’s next generation of witches, who lead seemingly quiet, uneventful modern day lives in Long Island’s secluded seaside town of North Hampton. When one of the daughters becomes engaged to a young, wealthy newcomer, a series of events forces her mother to admit to her daughters they are, in fact, powerful and immortal witches.

Where to watch it: Amazon Prime, Hulu

Being Human (Brittish Version) (no witches, but vampires, ghosts, and werewolves! I think I also recall some demons)
Dead Like Me (dark comedy about grim reapers)

We also enjoyed Lost Girl and Wynona Earp… although they aren’t as deliciously dark as Sabrina.
And Christina Ricci was super spooky in the Lizzie Borden Chronicles.

So many good shows to watch. Shudder has quite a few creepy series to binge on. Wolf Creek is very gritty.

We binged Diabaleros (on Netflix) and although not really Sabrina vibes, I’d say Constantine vibes for sure. My husband and I both described it as Mexican Constantine. It was really fun and I hope they come out with a second season!

Constantine would also be a good one. I’m so bummed it got cancelled after only one season, but it was so spooky and enjoyable, it’s hard not to love.

Stan Against Evil would be a similar vein to Ash vs. Evil Dead. It’s a little more campy and a lot less gory. The story is a little slow at first, but then it totally sucks you in. I’d say it’s a good spooky show to get men into who don’t usually go for the spooky. XD
