Halloween 2018 Home Tour: My Bedroom

?>

If you follow me on Instagram, you've likely seen photos of my bedroom before. It's a spooky lair full of lights, pumpkins and bats.

All October posts are part of the Countdown to Halloween!

Every October, my bedroom ends up being THE place I want to spend all my time. It feels like October magic to be snuggled under the covers with black paper bats flying over me while I read books and watch movies by the glow of Halloween lights.

In fact, every time I decorate it…it gets a little harder to take it all down. (Last year, my bedroom decor stayed up until January…)

My style (and apartment!) have definitely evolved over the years. In case you’re interested, here are some posts of my bedroom from past years:

Today I’ll give you the most recent look at my Halloween bedroom, and at the end of this post, I’ll share how YOU can submit your home decor photos to be featured on Spooky Little Halloween next Tuesday, October 16!

For now…onto the second home tour of Halloween 2018!

I keep my bedroom a little Halloweeny all year long, but I add a few extras during Halloween season.

After wanting one for a few years, I finally grabbed one of the rotating lights from Target. I love watching the ghosts spin by on my ceiling!

I love how it looks at night.

This shelf stays Halloweeny all year, and I keep adding to it.

This pumpkin stack is my new favorite thing, topped with the Halloween flower crowns I made earlier this year.

This letterboard has been fun to play with all year.

Last year I went vertical with my Halloween decor in my bedroom, and I loved how it looked so I did it again…and added one of my McDonald’s Happy Meal pails to the mix.

I’ve also been looking for a few small candy dishes to use as jewelry holders. After falling in love with this pumpkin face at Kroger, I had to buy all the things.

Earlier this year I explored decorating with Halloween rugs. I love this spider web in front of my dresser.

This wall stays up all year, but I added the orange garland to the mix for Halloween…

…and these hanging decorations in the corner.

These vinyl clings stay up all year too.

My little reading corner.

Spooky reads and batty glasses.

My bed and the wall above it are definitely my favorite part of the room, though.

I fell in love with this spooky sign the moment I saw it. It’s beyond perfect for me!

The hat that I’ve worn all summer got a sweet little addition for Halloween season.

The view at night is definitely my favorite!

It’s just so cozy!

Love the glow of the lights! I have a Halloween baby~actually she’ll be 17 this year, so not a baby. I try to up the ante on Halloween and incorporate a birthday in it, but I’m no where near your awesomeness. Thank you for sharing!

Your room looks delightful! I don’t blame you for leaving your decorations up until January; I wouldn’t want to put them away either. The night views are my favourite too. There’s just something about the glow from string lights. I have some Halloween themed lights in my room also and I love switching them on when it gets dark.

That glow makes me so happy! I started years ago with leaving a string of blue lights up in my bedroom after Christmas…and since then, I’ve loved decorating with string lights. They make my spaces feel extra cozy, and if they’re Halloween colors? Even better!
