Happy October, my spooky little friends! The best month of the year is FINALLY here, and I couldn't be more excited.
All October posts are part of the Countdown to Halloween!
One of my favorite ways to celebrate each year comes from my fellow Halloween blogging bestie, The Spooky Vegan. Each year Sarah makes a bucket list of all the things she wants to do during Halloween season, and I loved it so much…I decided to do it too! (By the way, if you don’t follow her blog, go fix that right now!)
For the past three Halloween seasons, I’ve put together a list of all the things I want to do…and probably get through half of them. (See them here.) I’m sure this year will be no different, but it’s fun making the list all the same.
Want to make your own? Download my fall Halloween zine (it’s free!) and check out October for a printable list.
My 2018 Halloween Bucket List:
- Carve jack-o-lanterns (my staple!)
- And then turn one into a smoking pumpkin
- Find apple cider donuts to try for the first time
- Wear Halloween clothes and/or accessories EVERY day in October
- Listen to Dead Air as much as humanly possible
- See “Halloween” when it comes out October 19
- Drink more iced pumpkin coffees from Dunkin Donuts…now that I found a pumpkin coffee I like!
- Finish my no-sew fabric banner for my Halloween bedroom (see more no-sew ideas for Halloween fabric)
- Binge “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” on October 26
- Attend a local production of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”
- Bake pumpkin chocolate chip cookies
- Take a walk while listening to The Chilling Adventures of Autumn
- Decorate my office for Halloween (I have 4 quick tips in the fall Halloween zine for this!)
- Shop at Spirit Halloween about 50,000 more times before Nov. 1 (see my fave finds)
- Attend The Wilde Collection’s Halloween party on October 27 (I can’t wait!)
- Wander a local cemetery in the golden October glow
- Send Halloween cards to my family and besties
- Wear some of my favorite pieces of Halloween jewelry from Murderous Jewels (like these!)
- Host my 10th annual Halloweenie Roast – EEK!!!

I love this! I’m gonna make a list, too!
Top on my list…
I want to attend a punk rock musical about the bubonic plague.
And I will try to catch my favorite movie, Harold and Maude, which is playing locally for one night only.

Nice! Happy October, Took!
Candace
I actually made a list this year! Without making a conscious choice to do things, time just gets away from me, so thank you for the encouragement! My list includes making a spooky gingerbread house, learn the Thriller dance and my “Killer Halloween Party” Crazy Aunt Candy’s 1st annual Halloween Birthday Brunch where we’ll celebrate all family birthdays in one event.

Glad I could help – I love everything on your list, Candace. :)
