Halloween Hunting: Trader Joe’s 2018 Halloween Items

?>

It's the final Friday of Halloween hunting on the blog, and today we're changing it up! Instead of hitting up a big box store, we're visiting a grocery store...

Hello, Trader Joe’s!

So confession: I’m in a bit of an obsession phase with Trader Joe’s right now. I work in a marketing and communications department, and earlier this year I was sent to a workshop about telling a brand story. One of the examples of a great way to tell your brand’s story was the new(ish) Trader Joe’s podcast, Inside Trader Joe’s.

I finally got around to listening to it over the past week and, well, now I want to move to California and work for their corporate office. 😂

Listening to the podcast and making a trip last Friday inspired me to return, walk the store and share every Halloweeny or pumpkin-flavored item I could find with you guys for our final Halloween hunting adventure of 2018.

I hope you enjoy it and find a new goodie to try!

We’ll start with this gem. My local Trader Joe’s is in an old movie theater (and was actually a bookstore the first time I ever stepped foot inside the building), and all the artwork speaks to that. Somehow I have NEVER noticed this at the entrance until this visit – or it’s brand new. 😂

I always like taking a spin through the beer and wine section for pumpkin ales at this time of year.

Pumpkin-ception?

Kringle is a favorite breakfast treat in my family. We buy them in Wisconsin, and I was SO excited to find one at Trader Joe’s. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the pumpkin caramel flavor, but it was spectacular.

finally got my hands on Halloween Joe Joe’s this year. I am obsessed!

I meant to include this in my spooky Christmas post and forgot…but if you need a haunted house kit for Halloween OR the holiday season, Indiana Jones says go grab one at Trader Joe’s!

Affordable pumpkins galore!

While not a typical fall flavor, I’m totally intrigued by this cherry cider.

Apple cider donuts! I’ve never tried them and don’t know where to find them in Houston, so I was thrilled to see them at Trader Joe’s.

I was also thrilled to get my hands on these potato chips, finally!

Something about the phrase slab pie makes my mouth water…

My FAVORITE pumpkin item at Trader Joe’s! At $2 a box, I stock up on these babies for the rest of the year every fall.

If you spot those spooky half moon cookies, grab them! They were GONE on my second visit.

Have you ever seen Trader Joe’s live pumpkin trees? These things are absolutely magical! They’re $4.99 and just need a bit of standing water, like fresh cut flowers would, to live on through Halloween season.

This sauce is amazing! I bought some because I had a craving for pasta. I’m usually not a huge fan of red sauce, but this one was perfect.

Yes, I bought it. No, I haven’t tried it yet. Stay tuned…

Pumpkin ice cream is my jam!

Bought a box of this to try in my coffee…since I’m on a quest to love pumpkin coffee this year, apparently.

I also got the harvest blend tea with the intent of making iced tea from it. Haven’t tried it either, but I’m looking forward to it!
