3 Ways I Wear Halloween T-shirts, Featuring Boredwalk T-shirts

Being a Halloween blogger is always an adventure. Always. And sometimes it takes you unexpected places...like pretending to be a fashion blogger for the sake of killer Halloween T-shirts.

The T-shirt featured in this post was sent to me by Boredwalk T-shirts in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own. See my disclaimer for more.

That’s exactly what we’re doing today!

Okay, so maybe pretending is a bit of a stretch. I’ve always loved putting together outfits and finding my style, and it’s something I’ve stepped into more over the past five years. I think the thing I love about clothing is you can constantly change what you wear and how you wear it – there’s no uniform and so many rules that are made to be broken.

I also love finding those pieces of clothing or looks that make you feel like YOU…y’know?

I have a LOT of fun with this as I incorporate more spooky and Halloween pieces into my wardrobe, so when my new friends at Boredwalk T-shirts asked if I’d be interested in checking out one of their spooky tees, I said absolutely and was excited to find ways to add their Support Your Local Ghoul Gang shirt into my regular looks:

Being me, I did a little bit of T-shirt surgery on mine. (Don’t know what that means? Check it out on Pinterest.) I’m still nervous to do more than widen a neckline, add a slit down the front or chop up the sleeves, but it’s such an easy way to make a T-shirt yours.

Then I came up with three ways I’d wear this T-shirt, and today I’m sharing them with you. I hope they’ll give you ideas for wearing your own favorite Halloween tees during the fall…and all year long!

3 Ways I Wear Halloween T-Shirts

The Rebel Look

That’s how I feel when I swear all black, boots and my denim vest – like a rebel. I’m still pretty tame, all things considered, but this quickly becomes my fall uniform each year: skinny black pants, Halloween tee and my vest covered in enamel pins paired with my favorite black boots.

The beauty is these are such simple pieces of clothing nearly everyone has or are easy to find because they never go out of style.

The Soft, Pretty Look

During the week, I’m pretty girlie. I live in dresses and cardigans at work. I love a good circle skirt that makes me feel feminine. But I also love a touch of something tough to balance things out, and this skull was begging to be featured this way.

I paired it with a high-waisted skirt and belt, then added my hot pink kimono for a serious pop of color. My office environment is a bit more lax, so I could totally get away with this during October but it’d be cute for going out too.

The Casual Look

I have, quite literally, lived in this outfit all summer: floral kimono (I’m obsessed with them), T-shirt and cut-off shorts with that black hat. It’s comfy, easy and so easy to customize. Sometimes I throw up on my denim shorts or a pair of Keds-style shoes to mix it up. I love the contrast of the skull versus flowers because it sums me up so perfectly.

My Review of Boredwalk T-Shirts

Sometimes finding the right T-shirt is a challenge. You want something soft and comfy but also lightweight. For me, Boredwalk checks both of those boxes. I also love that their spooky designs are all black and white which makes them ridiculously easy to pair with just about anything, whether it’s a shirt and heels or cut-off shorts.

I also love that they sell their designs in a variety of styles, from sweatshirts to guys T-shirts (like I got) to ladies’ tees and tanks, which means you can buy your favorites in every style.

Here are a few of my faves:

Full Moon | Something Wicked | Dracula &

They also have way more than just Halloweeny designs, so be sure to check out the rest of their site!

I looooove wearing a tshirt with a pencil skirt. The weirder or grungier the shirt the better I find it pairs with a classy skirt!
