Halloween Hunting: Spirit Halloween 2018 Halloween Collection

?>

One of my favorite milestones of the Halloween season is walking into my first Spirit Halloween. I had the pleasure of checking that off my list last Friday night with none other than Cromwell Witch.

That is until we got kicked out.

(I caused quite the stir on Instagram by saying that without explaining – whoops!)

Let me explain: as of last week there were exactly four Spirit Halloween stores open in Houston, and two of them were open until 9 p.m. (The others closed at 7 p.m.)

Or at least that’s what was listed on the website…

After learning last year most stores close at 7 p.m. early on and extend their hours the deeper into Halloween season we go, I get it. Who is actually shopping at a pop-up Halloween store on a Friday night in August?

Well, other than me?

So when 7:20 p.m. rolled around, we were halfway through our browsing and we were (kindly) asked if we were going to purchase anything before the registers closed…Cromwell Witch and I took that as our cue that we were, essentially, getting kicked out.

Oh well – at least we got to see SOME of the store! I ended up visiting another location Sunday afternoon so I could snap a few photos for you guys for today’s Halloween hunting post.

Here are a few of my faves from Spirit this year.

So many Halloween treats to behold!

These were two of the offbeat items that caught my eye…because we all need a headless horseman snowglobe and Halloween coloring book, right?

From inside the “haunt” in the second store I visited…that I went in ALONE!

I really like the haunted farm decor they have this year!

One thing I’m not a fan of (sorry, Spirit!) is the new design of their “Support Halloween” magnets. Glad I have the OG version on my fridge…

Free hugz anyone?

My happy place.

I love the detail of Oogie’s mouth on this mask.
