What’s In My Halloween Shopping Bag? | Midsummer Scream Edition

?>

One of the most common questions I get when I share Halloween goodies on social media is, "Hey, where did you get that?" And I'm always happy to share where I find my Halloween treasures. (Provided I remember on the older items!)

So this Halloween season, I thought it would be fun to do occasional “What’s in my Halloween shopping bag?” posts. Round one is a peek inside all the tricks and treats I picked up at Midsummer Scream.

But first, we need to talk about this fabulous shopping bag:

This beauty comes from One Happy Laina Co. on Etsy, and I could not be more happy with this purchase. I carried this tote bag (full of candy, mind you) around Midsummer Scream all weekend and forgot I even had it. The size of the tote is perfect, the length of the straps is AWESOME and I love all the details on the bag, like the chocolate bar, ghost socks and “Hocus Pocus” DVD. Grab yours here.

Ready to dig in? You’ll definitely see some trends…I gravitate towards all things pumpkin and spirit board-related.

Here’s my Halloween haul from Midsummer Scream 2018:

Beetlejuice Pin – Monster Posse

As I mentioned in this blog post, I’ve been lusting after this pin for months on Instagram…and I wasn’t going to pass up the chance to grab it in person from Monster Posse. (Who has a TON of amazing products – check ’em out on Etsy.)

Midsummer Scream 2018 T-shirt – Tee No Evil

As a girl who used to follow bands, I’ve always loved buying tour T-shirts…so when presented with the opportunity to buy an exclusive Midsummer Scream 2018 T-shirt, I couldn’t pass it up.

Earrings, Necklace, Pin and Mirror – Dulce Calaveritas

Dulce Calaveritas totally spoiled me when I stopped by her booth! The jack-o-lantern mirror was one of my must-haves, but when I saw one of my readers wearing this pin…I knew I needed to have it too!

Pumpkin Heart Sticker & T-shirt – Black Willow Gallery

This is another design I’ve been in love with for months on Instagram, and I was thrilled to pick up the sticker and T-shirt in person! I can’t wait to wear this shirt during Halloween season!

I Am The Halloween Party Print – Drew Rausch

In my pre-Midsummer Scream post, I noted that I wanted to grab the male version of this print. I was thrilled to discover the female pumpkin (which I totally missed in his online store!) at the convention…and even more thrilled it was signed by Drew himself. (Who was the coolest character in real life!)

Keychain & Pins – Killing Me Softly

I didn’t make it to Andrea’s booth until Sunday morning and by then…I was running out of space in my suitcase to take large goodies home, so I grabbed a few of the smaller items I’ve been eyeing in her store. I’m also excited to see her 2018 collection on Etsy soon. (I may have gushed over her killer blog too.)

Pumpkin Ornament – Abbybelle

A collective favorite of our little group Sunday morning was Abbybelle’s gorgeous paper mache ornaments. Check out her full Halloween collection on Etsy.

Sticker, Keychain & Enamel Pins – Fiendies

Fiendies was yet another vendor I was excited to shop with in-person…and also the first vendor I shopped with. I had to get my hands on the exclusive Frankenstein pin, and the pumpkin sticker, planchette keychain and candy corn pin were begging to go home with me too…

Palmistry Pin – Sweet Midnight

Rene was the sweetest person ever, and I fell in love with everything in her booth! I love that she includes plus sizes in her gorgeous skirts she makes. Check out her Halloween treats here.

Art Print, Planchette Sticker & Pin – Yosiell Lorenzo

I went a little spirit board crazy at Yosiell’s booth. There was still more I wanted to grab (like this Lydia Deetz print), but that’s what online shopping is for…right?

Mini Jack-o-lantern Pin – Edyn Rashae

How cute is this little guy? Edyn Rashae was kind enough to gift this to me, along with her cannibal candy corn poster, and we bonded over being Texas girls lost in California.

Black Planchette Pin – Memento Mori Goods

And finally…one more planchette purchase from Memento Mori Goods.

What’s in your Halloween bag?

I’d love to hear what you’ve found in stores lately – share it in the comments!

And keep an eye on the blog – I’ll be sharing more Halloween shopping bag posts all season long.

Happy haunting,
