I loved Halloween as a kid. I loved dreaming up a costume and carefully putting it together. (No store-bought costumes for this girl – I DIYed it nearly every year.) I looked forward to picking out pumpkins and then carving them up around the kitchen table.
And, of course, I loved trick-or-treating.
As an adult, I’ve replaced that excited feeling I used to get for trick-or-treating with the excited feeling I get for my annual Halloween party. But now that my niece is old enough to understand Halloween (and even love it as much as her Aunt Rana), I’m having fun looking at my favorite holiday through a child’s eyes again.
So with my niece – and all your little monsters – in mind, I’ve rounded up a few Halloween goodies for kids.
9 Halloween items for kids:
Snoopy and Friends Halloween Sheet Set from Pottery Barn Kids
When I was a kid, nothing was more fun than a set of character sheets. I wore my Snuggle sheets down to nothing, I used them so much. I would have been thrilled to sleep on a set of Halloween sheets all of October! And considering you can get them in a queen size…that just might happen if the right deal comes along!

Halloween Cups from Caffeine and Wine on Etsy
Make every day a little more spooky during Halloween season with a cute cup! I love that these Frankensteins are the perfect blend of spooky and cute.
Halloween Outfits from My Little Adalynn Jane Boutique on Facebook
You know how you see cute stuff in stores but you don’t buy it immediately…and then you can never find it again? My Little Adalynn Jane Boutique is just the Facebook page you need to follow. Not only does Danielle have tons of cute outfits at great prices – she’s also a fellow Halloween lover, so you know she’ll hunt out ALL the Halloween outfits she can find.
“Room on the Broom” by Julia Donaldson on Amazon
When I was in kindergarten, I remember repeatedly checking out a picture book about witches at the library. I couldn’t tell you the name of it now – or even the plot – but I loved it. Books have a way of making an impression on kids at the holidays, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t include a few – “Room on the Broom” seems to be a favorite!
Halloween Kid T-Shirts from Owen and Gwen on Etsy
Halloween T-shirts sure have come a long way since I was a kid! Now you can find them in nearly every box store. I prefer to look on Etsy, though, for something unique. Owen and Gwen has a ton of cute options for your kiddos.
Halloween Coloring Books from Barnes & Noble
I might have to buy one of these for my niece…and for myself! I’ve always loved coloring, and giving your kids some Halloween designs to color is also a great way to add some unique artwork to your annual decor.
Halloween Socks from Amazon
I mean…c’mon – how cute are these? Or that might be my own obsession with Halloween socks talking…
Halloween Kid T-Shirts on Etsy from Brave Little Leaders
Okay, clearly I can’t resist a cute Halloween tee. Follow the link for Brave Little Leaders’ entire collection – the “will trade brother/sister for candy” one is my favorite.
Harvest Jack
Move over, Elf on the Shelf. There’s a NEW sheriff in town! I’ve never been a fan of that creepy elf that pops up at Christmas – he looks way more evil than any Halloween decor I’ve ever laid eyes on. But Harvest Jack? I can totally get behind him! Learn more about his story here.

We saw the Harvest Jack people at both Midsummer Scream and ScareLA and almost bought one, but they made the mistake of telling us that next year they are actually expanding and there will also be a witch, so we are holding out until they release the one with the witch.

Ooooh that’s so cool!! I can’t wait to see it either.
Harvest Jack
All Hallows Geek,
It’s not too late to get a signed original Harvest Jack (quantities are limited). Harvest Jack will be the same while his book will be upgraded. Giselle Spell is busy in Patchville this year but will be joining him Fall of 2018 with her own story. You can have a complete set!!

My favorite part about Halloween as a kid was getting dressed up with mom and decorating with our favorite paper decorations. You know the old school punch outs of the fuzzy black cats and smiling jack o’lanterns! Those are still my favorite Halloween decorations. ????
Miranda | Spooky Little Halloween
Yes! Those were my favorite things to decorate with too. :)

My favorite memory of Halloween was when I was about 7 or 8. It was raining so my mom and my sister ran as fast as we could and took cover under someone’s porch. We were there for a while when all of a sudden the lights shut off. Then there was a loud howling sound coming from behind us followed by flashes of light and thunder. We screamed and took off running as fast as we could to the car.
Turns out the owner turned off their lights and started flashing a strobe light and blared sound effect music ro trick us.
It’s a memory I’ll never forget.

Awww! I missed the giveaway! >.<;;; I'll have to keep better track! But I'll definitely have to keep an eye on My Little Adalynn Jane Boutique! Sooo cute! What a great list. Thanks for the share. I needed this! And as a preschool teacher, I hated Elf on the Shelf and all it is, but I'm going to have to look into this Harvest Jack character! I'm so curious.
Miranda | Spooky Little Halloween
She has some fun stuff! Isn’t Harvest Jack fun? I love his little face.
