Spooky Little Cocktail: Pumpkin Mimosas

?>

I have two words for you: Pumpkin. Mimosas. Oh yes, THIS IS HAPPENING.

The idea started last Halloween season. My goal for Halloween night was to whip up some pumpkin juice, combine it with some champagne and enjoy a horror movie.

Unfortunately, my body had other plans and instead I found myself sick in bed with a 102-degree fever. I guess Halloweenie Roast 2016 wore me out more than I thought.

So last month when I put together my perfect pumpkin juice, I decided to give pumpkin mimosas a try, and I was NOT disappointed.

They’re the perfect blend of fall-in-a-glass and bubbly goodness.

Here’s my recipe for pumpkin mimosas:

Step-by-step directions follow the recipe.

Spooky Little Cocktail: Pumpkin Mimosas

These delicious mimosas are just the thing to sip while enjoying a fall brunch!
Prep Time 5 mins
Total Time 5 mins
Cuisine Halloween Cocktails
Servings 1 drink

Ingredients

  • 1 part pumpkin juice Recipe: http://bit.ly/perfectpumpkinjuice
  • 2 parts champagne

Instructions

  • In a champagne flute, add one part pumpkin juice to two parts champagne.
  • Mix well with stir stick.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Sweeter champagnes or proseccos work best for this recipe.

How to make pumpkin mimosas:

Mix up a batch of my perfect pumpkin juice and find a sweet champagne. (Don’t follow my example with extra dry! Sweeter varieties better complement the pumpkin juice.)

You’ll also need a couple champagne flutes for your drink!

Fill your champagne flutes with one part pumpkin juice.

Add two parts champagne.

So many bubbles!

Pumpkin juice is pretty dense compared to champagne, so you’ll need to do some mixing.

I found a stir stick worked best. Mix gently so the champagne doesn’t bubble up and overflow in the glass.

Your mimosas should look something like this!

Bubbly and perfect!

And……delicious!

How will you enjoy pumpkin mimosas?

Will it be a brunch drink or a just-for-fun cocktail? I’d love to hear! Share it in the comments.

Now THIS is my kind of cocktail. Simple, easy and sooooooo yummy. I love champagne cocktails. Don’t you think Chronic Cellar’s Spritz and Giggles would compliment the pumpkin juice well? Definitely adding this to my recipe book. What’s even better? This would be great to make a batch of and serve during fall time as a whole, such as at a family gathering for Thanksgiving. ;)
