Halloween Game Idea: Halloween Music Bingo

?>

It's hard to find fun Halloween party games for adults. A lot of the ideas I find on Pinterest on a regular basis are geared towards Halloween fans in the 5-10 age range. I'm sure tossing glow stick rings onto witch hats or pumpkin stems is a blast when your age is a single digit...but for this double-digit girl? I want something a little more.

The idea for something more happened this spring when my friend Scott posted a video on Instagram. He was playing music bingo – something this former music blogger immediately loved. The way it worked was the caller played a song, and if you had it on your card, you marked it.

Immediately, I knew I had to create a Halloween version of this.

So I present…Halloween Music Bingo!

I am SO excited about this!

I started by putting together a playlist of songs that were easy to recognize OR included the song title in the lyrics during the first 30-45 seconds of the song. And no repeats of popular Halloween terms, like ghost or vampire!

Each song was handpicked by me and is also featured on my Ultimate Halloween Playlist, which you can get access to through my Killer Halloween Party e-course.

Next, I took the 40+ songs I picked and designed bingo cards using all the titles. Each card is unique, and every single song is featured at least once on the cards.

The results: a playlist and 10 bingo cards so you and your friends can play Halloween Music Bingo at your own killer Halloween party this year!

The game is pretty simple: one person is the caller who controls the playlist. Everyone else is a player. The caller plays the first 30-45 seconds of each song on the playlist. If the player has the song, they mark it. First player to get a bingo wins!

I used candy corn as my space markers, but you could use any small Halloween candy or even plain old bingo chips!

Here are a few more photos of the cards:

I LOVE this idea! What a great game for the adults! I never would have thought of this but it definitely wouldn’t be too hard to put together! (In love with the candy corn as bingo chips too). This would also be fun for a simple gathering outside of an official party. I wonder if you could do something similar with movies too…

I want to play this with Disney songs… love it. (I would definitely lose horribly at the Halloween version.)

    Hi Miranda:

Just found your spooky little Halloween site. It is fantastic! Thank you for sharing.

One little question: I downloaded your Halloween music bingo – when I print out the cards, the left side of each page of the cards gets cut off. I can’t alter it at all. I tried using the “fit to page” option in the print, but that did not work either. Any suggestions? Thanks again!
