The past week has been kind of crazy for me. Spooky Little Halloween on Instagram has grown at a crazy rate, and more people are finding me on Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook. My first-ever spooky mix on 8tracks earned a Gem status! I’ve had a ton of new email subscribers, and I’m definitely noticing an up tick in my traffic numbers.

So first and foremost if you’re new to spookylittlehalloween.com I want to say hi, hello and welcome! I’m so excited you’re here, and I can’t wait to celebrate Halloween 2016 with you. This page is a perfect starting point for you. I also recommend checking out my first-ever post to find out why I started a Halloween blog.

Also, to those of you who have been leaving so many kind comments on Instagram, saying hi on Facebook and Twitter and replying to my latest newsletter, thank you! You guys rock.

Okay, enough of that gushy stuff – let’s get on with today’s post!

I’ve dropped by two of my local HomeGoods in the last few weeks, and I’ve found some stellar goodies. (I’m obsessed with my mug I picked up in case you didn’t know.)

And judging by your finds, you guys are scoring some killer Halloween items there too!

Here’s one more first look for you – and just in case you’ve missed any you can find them here:

end-cap

Bats and skulls and pumpkins and witches and spiders and HALLOWEEN OH MY!!!

halloween-endcap

halloween-shelves

Seriously – is there anything better than walking into a store and seeing this display?

halloween-table1

No, no there is not.

Kitchen Goods

halloween-mugs

These latte mugs were super cute, and I had a VERY hard time deciding between one of these and the skeleton mug I went home with. (I’m trying to be good and not buy everything here!)

witch-mug

skull-mug

But in the end, I was just too charmed by these dancing skeletons.

skull-plate

Hello new kitchen set up!

witch-plate

witch-hat-plate

My mom: “What if I got this and you could borrow it for Halloween?” Haha…

crossbones-plate

crossbones-serving-tray

I really loved this serving tray. If it had been black and silver, I probably would have bought it for my bedroom.

trickortreat-serving-tray

This trick or treat tray was super cute too! But I’m waiting. I have my eye on this one from Target.

sugar-skull-highball-glasses

Ugh, how great are these highball sugar skull glasses?

sugar-skull-glass

I mean look at all that detail. I am in love, but I need more glassware like I need another hole in my head. (And I already have five extra, thanks to piercings…)

happy-halloween-mug

spider-dish

skull-cake-plate

Adore this cake stand.

skull-drink-dispenser

And this skull drink dispenser!

skull-platter

My mom was rather charmed by this skull platter. (And acted as my model so I could snap a photo – best Halloween shopping partner!)

serving-bowl

cookie-jar

Samantha of The Haunted Housewife and I oohed and aahed over this on Instagram a few weeks back. We both saw it the same day and LOVED it.

halloween-kitchen-wear

ghost-bowl

bat-bowl

These would be so cute for small candies, like M&M’s.

Hand Towels

Yeah, they get their own section because I couldn’t stop taking photos of the cute patterns. Halloween hand towels are my weakness.

bat-towel

Candy corn + bats = my kinda Halloween. They’re two of my favorite things.

creepy-towel

jackolantern-towel

These kind of remind me of the towel I scored at Target on clearance last year.

pumpkin-crossbones-towel

I love how delicate these crossbones are on this towel.

trickortreat-towel

Halloween Decor

And finally, all the goodies for your home – including one item you pumpkin spice lovers are going to FLIP OUT over.

jackolantern

witch-lights

halloween-ornaments

Halloween tree, anyone?

large-pumpkin

My mom also loved this giant pumpkin and kept talking about him after we left the store.

skeleton-candle-holder

I keep thinking about this tea light holder. So different and beautiful.

skull

Silver skulls for days. (Also – my face all distorted in the forehead is pretty great.)

smiling-jackolantern

I also kept thinking about this jack-o-lantern. His grin is pretty dang cute.

ghost-candy-pumpkin

I just about died when I found this little guy. I can hardly stand how CUTE he is!

cauldron

How badass is this cauldron?! My mom also kept talking about this after we left.

Okay, and how for the show stopper. Yesterday you learned I’m not much of a pumpkin spice fan. But if you are…YOU NEED THIS:

pumpkin-spice

I wanted to buy it for the sheer novelty of owning a pumpkin spice latte machine as decor. SO. CUTE.

Where to find these Halloweenies

Find something you can’t live without? All items in this post are available at HomeGoods – but just in case you aren’t familiar, every HomeGoods store doesn’t have the same inventory. You may not be able to find all the items in my post at your local store, which you can find right here.

What goes on your must-have list?

Share it in the comments, on Twitter or on Facebook!

Happy hunting,

I LOVE your blog! I just found it today. I’m a big Halloween fan and have been my entire life. I got married the night before Halloween and had a masquerade themed reception. Now, I’m expecting my first child and she is due right around Halloween! Can’t wait to read more!

OMG – 4th pic from the top – the headstone with the 2 skeletons – I love it!!!
Most stores around here are still stocking back-to-school & summer stuff is on clearance, so pickings are slim. I’m going to wait until next weekend or so and start looking at stuff.

It’s a pretty one! I bet that would look GREAT with your decor, Lisa! :)

I’ve mostly seen Halloween in craft stores and some home decor stores – I saw people posting on Instagram that Walmart was putting stuff out this weekend, and I know Target won’t be far behind. Cannot wait!

Hello Miranda! Great site! I have been searching for the mugs in the sixth pic from the top…everywhere!!! Looks like you spotted a bunch! Any chance you saw these anywhere near OC in the SoCal area? Thanks so much!

Hey Coleen! I live in Houston, which is where I spotted these. However, I know people across the country who have found the same mugs at TJ Maxx and Marshalls, since both are owned by the same parent company as HomeGoods. You might look at those stores too!

Love your site! Love HomeGoods decorations. I have a question. I got some drinking glasses last year with a witches hat and broom on them (wish I could
post a photo for you) and am looking this year for two more to complete a set. Do you ever see the same thing from year to year at HomeGoods or should I just give up? So far none of the stores I have visited have them but they say they are still getting things in. Any opinion?

Hi Bonnie – at stores like HomeGoods I don’t usually see the same thing there from year to year. And because of the way they stock items, I don’t even see the same items from store to store within one year.

If you still have the packaging, you might Google the manufacturer and see if you can figure out where their products are sold. You might also check eBay for more glasses. Hope that helps!

Thanks much for your answer. You confirmed what I had concluded. Shucks! No packaging, just a glass with a price sticker. I have Googled and Googled so guess it is time to give up. Thanks again, Miranda. I’ll just go hang some more spiders.

HomeGoods is always heavenly at Halloween! I got plates and bowls last year for my kitchen and they are still gorgeous (we use them every day)!

    Hello,

Do you know when HomeGoods will put out their 2017 stock? I’m champing at the bit.

Hi Richard! Their sister stores, TJ Maxx and Marshalls, have been putting out Halloween over the last week, so I think HomeGoods should have their stuff any day now.

Hey Angela! I actually spotted that one last year. I haven’t seen it in a store yet this year, but I know a few friends have. I don’t believe TJ Maxx/Marshalls/HomeGoods sell online, at all.

If you’re on Instagram, you may search the #homegoods, #tjmaxx or #marshalls hashtags to see if you can find someone who bought it. If they have the UPC on it still, it should have an item number you could then put into a site like brickseek.com to check for the item near you.
