How to Celebrate National Candy Corn Day

October 30 is National Candy Corn Day! Whether you want to eat it, wear it or decorate with it...there's no wrong way to celebrate. | spookylittlehalloween.com

Happy National Candy Corn Day! And before we get too deep in this post, I have a confession: I have a love/hate relationship with candy corn.

I love the colors! The bright yellow and warm orange are perfect for fall. And the pop they give when used to decorate for Halloween? Well, there’s a reason I store a bag of now three-year-old candy corn to use in my Halloween hurricane lamps at my party every year…

But, if I’m honest? I don’t care for the taste. Don’t get me wrong – I’ll eat a handful here and there throughout the Halloween season…but the thought of finishing off an entire bag makes my stomach hurt just a little. The older I get, I less I desire super sugary treats.

I think we all kind of have that tortured relationship with candy corn through, don’t we?

Which is why it only seems natural to celebrate October 30, aka National Candy Corn Day. From eating it to wearing it, here are some ideas for celebrating:

I hate the colors, and I have to be in the mood for the taste. They’re so freaking sweet! This year I didn’t get any at all lol. These are some awesome ideas Miranda, especially the recipes. *heart eyes*

I agree – SO sweet. I didn’t grab any at all this year either and only ate a couple mellocreme pumpkins from a coworker’s candy jar. But I sure love using candy corn – the colors and the actual candy – to decorate! Glad you enjoyed this. :)

Take two large pieces of candy corn, and carefully jam them on your incisors. Pretend they are fangs…. (grin)

If you melt a cup of candy corn and stir in a 1/2 cup of peanut butter, you get butterfingers. No kidding! It’s delicious!
