How to Create a Halloween Bathroom

When you really love October 31st, you have a Halloween bathroom. Yup, we’re going there today. Over the past month, I’ve had multiple readers ask me if I know of Halloween products for the loo, so in this month’s decor post I thought I’d dig up some of my favorite items.

One of my favorite things about writing Spooky Little Halloween is discovering you can truly make anything in your life appropriate for the spookiest day of the year. I mean, who knew skull toilet bowl brushes or black toilet paper existed?!

Let’s dig right into this month’s decor inspiration.

20 things you need for a Halloween bathroom:

First things first: you need a sign to let everyone know what room they’re about to enter! (Thanks to Jillian for sharing this one with me.) Grab one from Total Lost on Etsy for $9.

And in case you want to be a little more direct…

This sign is also available from Total Lost on Etsy for $9.

The first thing I notice when I walk into a bathroom is the shower curtain…so why not make it a Halloween one? I am obsessed with ALL the shower curtains in Darling Ghoul’s Etsy shop, but this one is probably my favorite. Grab this custom shower curtain for your Halloween bathroom.

This jack-o-lantern and bat shower curtain on Amazon is a great option too!

Every Halloween bathroom needs some custom bath towels, like these skull bath towels from the one and only Betsey Johnson. ($30 for the set) I managed to score a set of orange skull towels last Halloween season – see them in my bathroom!

Society6 is a great spot to search for custom Halloween bath towels too, like this one from Manda Sisco, one of my faves. See all they have to offer and get $10 off when you use my referral code!

Don’t forget you’ll need somewhere to hang to towels, so you’ll definitely want a Halloween hook like this pumpkin silhouette one from Sol Pixie Dust on Etsy. (There’s also a witch and bat!)

And as long as I’m sharing faves from Society6 with you, you’ll need something to keep from slipping when you get out of the shower or bathtub. How about this black cat bath mat?

Or if you’re looking for something a bit more sinister, what about this bloody bath mat?

You’ll, of course, need some accessories like a toothbrush holder, soap dispenser and tissue box…so why not make them personalized Halloween ones?

Toilet seats can be so boring…but they’re a perfect spot to add a splash of spookiness! I love this intricate design – aren’t the floating jack-o-lanterns gorgeous?

Halloween hand soap is a must – did you know you can still score last year’s Bath & Body Works scents on Amazon?

If you really want to freak out your guests, you can grab this soap bar from spirithalloween.com that foams up blood red when it’s used.

No one will expect this zombie toilet paper holder when they come into your bathroom! (Amazon has a ton of fun ones to choose from.)

If you want to go subtle, grab this musical toilet paper holder that will play a spooky Halloween tune each time your guests unroll the toilet paper.

And, of course, no Halloween bathroom would be complete without some black toilet paper!

You can even make your least favorite chore – cleaning the toilet bowl – Halloweeny with this killer skull toilet brush! (Kudos to Suzy who alerted me to this product’s existence with her stunning bathroom photos.)

And finally, I couldn’t leave you without a few FUN things to enjoy in the bathroom, like this Halloween bar soap from The Soaping Sister on Etsy.

Or this brand new summer slime coffin bath bomb from Copper Cat Apothecary. (It’s cucumber and mint-scented!)

Or this amazing Hocus Pocus whipped soap from Nature’s Whimsey.

Which product would you use for your Halloween bathroom?

I’d love to hear which items are your favorite – share them in the comments. You can also check out how I’ve decorated my bathroom for Halloween.

I love the idea of the black toilet paper! We actually have those singing toilet rolls and put them in all the bathrooms during October. Drove the menfolk crazy. XD

Spooky bathroom light fixtures or sink/bath/shower faucets would be very cool.
