I love pastel Halloween. In fact, if I wasn’t so deep into my current decor style, I would totally change how I decorate for Halloween for a year or two just to explore this gorgeous trend.
I’ll be the first to admit I’m less of a blood-and-guts, gorey kinda Halloween gal. I stay on the fun, whimsical and lighthearted side of things. (Well, for the most part – I like a bit of mystery and creepiness too. After all, I live with a ghost – a story I’ll have to share with you guys soon.) So it’s only natural pastel Halloween appeals to this ghoul.
Just in case you have no idea what pastel Halloween is…it’s pretty much what it sounds like: Halloween, but done up in pastel colors. Think soft pinks, purples, aquamarines, oranges, yellows and blues. It’s softer, more feminine and absolutely dreamy:
It’s also a perfect trend to explore during Springoween when everything is light, bright and happy. (i.e. the total opposite of Halloween decor!)
Here are 15 of my favorite ideas for pastel Halloween:
These Halloween cupcake pins from Little Lefty Lou are an easy way to bring a bit of pastel Halloween into your daily life if you aren’t ready to full commit to decor. (And would be fun to duplicate as a real cupcakes!)
While this idea would be cute for a party, I love it for, well, every day honestly. Grab the free printable from Make + Tell’s resource library when you join their email list.
Valfré is one of my favorite Instagram accounts to follow for a bit of spooky fun when October rolls around. Their feminine color palette adds a little extra oomf to their sarcastic captions.
I’ve featured Ember Candle Co. on the blog before because I love their work. Their stunning range of pastel skull candles makes me wish I hadn’t signed a lease promising not to burn candles in my apartment…
While this would be perfect in a traditional Halloween color palette, there’s just something about the lighter colors that speaks to me. It’s cute with just a hint of creepy.
If you’re ready to commit, throw a pastel Halloween party! I love this party decor set-up from Admist the Chaos. It is the definition of dreamy!
If you’re looking for something a bit more simple in the way of parties, check out this wine and cheese party from Twinkle Twinkle Little Party. I love the pink and black together. (One of my long-time favorite color combos!)
This little guy is part of a larger Halloween party idea from Catch My Party. He’s so cute and such a perfect example of how you can apply pastel colors to traditional Halloween monsters.
I’ve had this costume idea saved since my early days on Pinterest. It’s so gorgeous and demure. Plus, this it totally the shade of pink hair I would rock if I could.
And as long as we’re talking costumes, here’s one more idea from the same Brit + Co blog post. I love the colors in this skeleton makeup. It’s a bit on the brighter side of pastel, but I think it’s gorgeous all the same.
If you’re adventerous enough to take on making marcrons, make them Halloweeny! Use an edible marker to draw Halloween designs on homemade marcons or store-bought ones. (One of my local grocery stores carries them in the freezer section these days!)
Are you a planner junkie? (That’s one trend I’m trying to keep myself away from…because I know I would go ALL. IN.) Make yours spooky with these pastel stickers from The Ginger Cat Co.
I’ve seen this from time to time at Easter and, given I’m not a major candy corn fan, I always pass. But it’s good to know Amazon has this waiting for me all year long, should I decide I need pastel Halloween in my life!
This blog post from Happy Mundane is LOADED with amazing pastel Halloween ideas from decor to sweets to cocktails. I want it ALL!
And finally, no Halloween blog post from me would be complete without one Ouija item. This iridescent necklace from Cult Black on Etsy is just adorable.
