All October posts are part of the Countdown to Halloween!
If you don’t shop at dollar stores for Halloween, you are doing Halloween all wrong. Seriously. Some of my favorite decor, like the Lucky Raven Cafe sign in my kitchen, came from dollar stores. They’re a great spot to search for treasures as well as stock up on things you don’t mind tossing after a Halloween party, like plastic tablecloths or plastic ware.
I always look forward to stopping by my local Dollar Tree stores to hunt for Halloween, and this year was no exception. Hurricane Harvey threw off the timing a little bit, and by the time I found a store fully-stocked, they were already transitioning over to (SOB!) Christmas.
But I’ve pieced together the photos I snapped over the period of a couple weeks to give you an idea of what you can find at Dollar Tree. Sometimes it takes a little hunting, but you can find some serious gems at this store!
Dollar Tree’s Halloween 2017 Collection:
Halloween at Dollar Tree! It’s one of my favorite places to grab little things for my party.
I could see using these for a little floral arrangement in your personal or party decor.
Dollar stores are a cheap place to get vase fillers, like these glitter (eek, I know guys…) balls. I actually bought $1 bags of candy corn here to use for vase filler in my living room.
Cupcake papers! Great for cupcakes AND crafting. (You guys amaze me with the clever things you make with these.)
As a girl on the hunt for the perfect Halloween notebook for her blog plans, this amused me to no end. (But they were too tiny for actual blogging notebooks!)
I loved the vintage-y feel of these cups. They may or may not make an appearance at Halloweenie Roast 2017 somehow…
I am always a sucker for Halloween scarves in Dollar Tree’s collection. And if the Houston weather will calm down and get out of the 90s, I’d love to wear one or two this October! (I bought the one on the right.)
Treat bags for $1! Doesn’t get better than that. They were a decent size too.
Halloween hack: dollar stores are a great place to score cute and spooky Halloween cards without spending a fortune. (And a lot of them are the same brands you find in other discount stores!)
While I didn’t grab any this year, I always enjoy looking at Dollar Tree’s signs…just in case there’s something I can’t live without.
This eyeball jar nearly came home with me. So cute and different!
So just in case you haven’t heard…this holiday season (by which I mean December), I’m going to be doing my first-ever spooky Christmas! I’m really excited about it and will be repurposing some of my Halloween decor. These metallic garlands have always felt like Christmas to me:
You’ll definitely be seeing some of these make a reappearance later this year for spooky Christmas!
Wouldn’t this look great on a green wreath?
So many possibilities! I don’t remember the last time I felt this excited about Christmas…in October.
